I’m building a small Python tool to track regional Spotify Premium prices and playlist charts across different markets. My script keeps hitting 429 rate limits, or worse, Spotify ignores my geo headers and defaults back to US pricing. Standard datacenter IPs seem to get flagged immediately. How are you setting up your scrapers to pull clean, localized data without constantly running into blocks or session drops? | |||

Streaming platforms cross-reference incoming request locations against known server IP databases. When a datacenter proxy or mismatched subnet is detected, the system either blocks the request or routes it to a generic fallback region. To extract genuine local pricing, automation tools need residential proxies with country-level targeting and sticky sessions that prevent IP shifts mid-request. | |||

If your parser is returning default rates, Spotify is detecting your server IPs and failing over to standard USD catalog responses. I ran into this while building a market benchmark tool last month—datacenter IPs just get rejected on sight. Setting up our HTTP clients with https://www.simplynode.io/targets/proxies-for-spotify resolved the issue completely. Pinning real home connections to target ISO country codes gives us exact localized pricing on every pass. | |||
